I remember watching the movie 2001 in 1968 when I was still in high school. To be honest, I had a hard time figuring out what was going on onscreen, and never really did until I read the book. But I still like the movie, and I love the books.

Another book often included in the Space Odyssey series is The Lost Worlds of 2001, not available in this upload. While not a novel, it does contain “The Sentinel”, the story on which the movie was based, and many behind-the-scenes looks at the movie’s production.
